Christopher Wells, CFP®, CKA®, MS, is the founder of Flourish Financial Planning, a fee-only financial planning firm in the Dallas-Fort Worth area dedicated to helping Christians connect their finances to what brings them joy. Chris founded Flourish in 2018 because he saw a gap: the Bible has so much to say about money, yet money was rarely talked about among believers. He wanted to change that by serving Christian families, small business owners, and pastors with financial planning rooted in stewardship and generosity.

Chris’s own finish line journey began as he studied Scripture and became convinced that money holds great power but also great danger. That conviction deepened through a Journey of Generosity retreat, where a question was pressed into his heart that has stayed with him since: “What if God prospers me not to raise my standard of living, but to raise my standard of giving?” For Chris, setting a finish line became a way to keep the danger of wealth in check while still using it for good.

Through comprehensive, fee-only planning, Chris helps clients discover what “enough” looks like for their family so they can hold God’s resources with open hands. His approach starts with the heart before the spreadsheet, because he believes that our stewardship is a natural response to who we see God to be. Whether helping families build a generosity plan, navigate a financial transition, or simply find contentment in what God has provided, Chris walks alongside clients as a fellow steward, not just an advisor.

Chris also serves as a lay pastor at his church, where his love for teaching Scripture and his financial planning work naturally overlap. He lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with Lindsey and their three young daughters. When he is not planning, you can find him playing with his three young daughters, cooking, swimming.
