James Waters is the UK-based founder of Kingdom Impact and a leader in the development of the Christian Impact Framework, helping Christian ministries, businesses, investors, and givers think more clearly about spiritual and social impact. His background in research, global development, and missions took him from studying poverty and resilience in Uganda to helping organizations understand outcomes that can often feel difficult to define or measure.

James explores why impact measurement can be an important part of stewardship without becoming a substitute for dependence on God. He explains how greater clarity about desired outcomes can help you ask better questions, learn from what is not working, and strengthen relationships with the organizations you support. At the same time, he cautions against formulas, savior mindsets, and assuming that the most measurable opportunity is necessarily the most faithful one.
