Rachel McDonough, Financial Advisor, on Stewarding Wealth with Head and Heart

You may have a solid financial plan and still wonder whether your wealth is doing everything God intends it to do.

How do you move beyond simply preserving and growing what you have to discerning what should be given, invested, or intentionally directed toward the people and purposes you most want to see flourish?

Meet your guide

Rachel McDonough is a financial advisor and founder of Wealth Squared who has spent nearly two decades helping families steward wealth. Growing up in Kenya as the daughter of missionaries gave her an early awareness of both material need and the responsibility that comes with entrusted resources. Over time, her work in wealth management led her to a conviction that investing is not morally neutral because capital always helps something grow.

Rachel shares how Wealth Squared helps families begin with their values, calling, and unique “Kingdom DNA” before moving to financial strategies. She explores the distinction between assets needed for provision and assets available for greater impact, along with the possibilities of faith-driven investing, impact investing, generosity, and family stewardship. Drawing from her book, *The River and the Garden*, she also offers a picture of capital as water that can be intentionally directed toward what you hope to see flourish.

By the end, you may feel better equipped to bring your head, heart, and faith together as you discern what God has entrusted to you and what it is meant to accomplish.
