Jeff Gowler, CEO of Global Media Outreach, on Reaching 2 Billion People with the Gospel by Leveraging Technology

You may care deeply about sharing the gospel while still feeling limited by geography, language, travel, or the amount of personal time you can give.

What becomes possible when technology allows your time, talents, and resources to help people encounter Jesus and receive ongoing discipleship almost anywhere in the world?

Meet your guide

Jeff Gowler is president and CEO of Global Media Outreach, a digital evangelism ministry seeking to give every person on earth multiple opportunities to know Jesus. Before entering ministry, Jeff built a successful career in homebuilding, eventually starting his own company. A financial crisis disrupted that path and led him through a season of waiting on God that eventually brought him into global evangelism with Every Home for Christ and later Global Media Outreach.

Jeff explains how Global Media Outreach uses websites, search engines, social media, and other digital platforms to connect people searching for hope with the gospel. Rather than stopping with online responses, the ministry equips thousands of volunteer online missionaries to continue conversations, provide discipleship resources, and build long-term relationships across languages and cultures.

The conversation also explores ministry partnerships, responsible stewardship of donor resources, and the different roles Christians can play through their time, talents, and treasure. You may come away seeing technology not simply as a communication tool, but as a growing opportunity to participate personally in the Great Commission.
